The self-guided Work on Your Novel course builds on the fundamental skills taught on our Writing for Children and Young Adults course.

This course is run by Industry Editors and is only available to members who have completed Writing for Children and Young Adults.

Imogen Cooper

Imogen Cooper, previously Editorial Director at Chicken House Publishing, started the Golden Egg Academy at her kitchen table in 2014 whilst working for Chicken House MD Barry Cunningham, the first publisher of Harry Potter. In 2015 Golden Egg became her main focus and since then she has helped over 80 children’s writers gain agents and/or publishing contracts.

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts in March 2024 and runs for six months. It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. However, webinars are on set dates as stated in your information pack.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
